IH Pressurized Rice Cooker
Safety Notice(Warning)  | Safety Notice(Caution)  |  Caution during Use

· Be sure to follow the "Safety Notice", for it is to prevent accidents and dangers by using the product safely and properly.
· Do's and don'ts in the "Safety Notice" are divided into two categories, 'Warning' and 'Caution', the meanings of which are explained as follows.

Warning (Cases where any violation of the "Safety Notice" may cause serious injury or death.)
Caution (Cases where any violation of the "Safety Notice" may cause minor injury or damage of the product.)





Safety Notice (Warning)

· After cooking is done, do not EVER force the cover open before the interior depressurizes.
-Hot steam and content may sputter out and cause burn.

· Do not reconstruct, disassemble, or repair the product.
-This may cause fire, electrocution, and injury.
-Ask for help from sales representatives or repair centers nearby.


· Do not insert any foreign objects or metallic objects such as pin or wire in air inlet, exhaust , or crevice.
-This may cause malfunction or electrocution.

· Do not operate within children's reach.
-This may cause burn, electrocution, or injury.

· Do not splash water on the product. Do not use near the sink and the source of fire.
-This may cause electrocution, electrical leakage, or fire.

· Use a proper socket with a 15A or higher capacity alone.
-Insufficient capacity or use of multiple plugs in a single socket may cause due to over heating.
-Use an proper extension cord with a 15A or higher capacity.


· Clean dust or foreign objects on the power plug before use.
-This may cause electrocution or fire.

· Do not forcefully bend, tie, or pull the power cord.
-This may cause fire due to electrocution or electrical leakage.




Safety Notice (Caution)

· Do not cook anything other than the specified in the menu. Do not cook viscous or foamy food such as porridge, sik-hye, curry, and barley tea.
-This may spill over when boiling and cause burn

· Do not approach or block the automatic exhaust or pressure weight with your face or hands.
(Especially prevent this from happening to children.)
-This may cause burn, malfunction, deformation, and discoloration.

· Unplug the power while not in use.
-This may cause electrocution, electrical leakage, or fire due to deterioration of insulation.

· Do not unplug the power with wet hands.
-This may cause electrocution.

· Do not use this appliance on unsteady place or large object with low heat resistance.
-This may cause fire.

· Use only the exclusive pots.
-Pots may overheat and cause malfunction or fire.

· Do not drop or shock the pot.
-over may not lock properly or steam may leak due to deformation of the pot.

· Do not hold up the appliance by the inner pot handles.
-It is dangerous to hold up by the inner pot handles because the cover will flip open. There are two grooves on the left and right side at the bottom of the appliance for this purpose. Use these grooves for safety.

· Do not touch the inner metallic surface of the cover right after cooking rice or while operating as a thermostat.
-This may cause burn.

· Do not use the inner pot(OVEN) for any other purposes or use in direct contact with fire such as gas/electrical oven.
-This may cause damage due to deformation or coat-peeling of the inner pot.

· Do not use damaged power cord or plug, or loose socket.
-This may cause electrocution, electrical leakage, or fire.

· Do not place any metallic objects such as aluminum foil at the bottom or side of the inner pot.
-This may cause electrocution, electrical leakage, or fire.

· Anyone wearing a pacemaker should consult a physician before using this appliance.
-Operating this appliance may affect the pacemaker.

· If the pressure weight is not circling while cooking or steam is exhausted through the cover not through the exhaust outlet, stop using the appliance and have it repaired.
-This may cause burn and injury due to splash of hot steam and contents.




Caution during Use

· Proper actions to be taken when steam leaks through the cover.
-If the rubber gasket inside the cover is askew or contaminated with foreign objects such as rice grain, steam will leak and rice will be half-cooked and crumbly.
-Check whether the rubber gasket is in place. Check for foreign objects such as rice grain on the rubber gasket and the upper part of the inner pot.
-Periodically(once a week), push down the rubber gasket with a finger along the circular groove.
-If the leakage persists, replace the gasket from LG Electronics Service Center.
(Rubber gasket is an expendable.)

· Do not close the cover forcefully. This may cause damage.
-When opening/closing the cover.
1. Align the inner pot handles with the grooves in the main unit. (See the Figure below)
2. Adjust the handles to the open position for opening/closing the cover.
-Cooking/Keeping warm
: During cooking/keeping warm, adjust the handles to the close position.
-If the pressure is built up, the handles will not move. Release the pressure by flipping the pressure weight.

· If the appliance is not cleaned regularly, odors may build up during keeping warm. In particular, clean the cover part frequently.

· Clean the valve occasionally (once a month) using the cleaning pin.
