Ham and Leek Gratinee
1 bunch leeks
1/4 cup water
2 cups white sauce
8 thick slices boiled ham, about 1-ounce each
1/2 cup grated Swiss Cheese
Trim most of green part from leeks. Spilt leeks in half and soak in very cold water for 20 minutes to remove sand. Wash thoroughly under running water, keeping leeks from seperating into single leaves. Drain. Place in an 8-inch ovenproof baking dis. Add water. Cover with vented plastic wrap. Microwave at Power Hi for 4 to 5 minutes, or until leaves are tender. Remove from oven and allow to cool. Prepare white sauce. Drain excess liquid from leeks and wrap each leek half with one slice of the ham. Place wrapped leeks into baking dish. Top with white sauce and sprinkle with grated Swiss cheese. Preheat oven to 400¡ÆF. Cook at Convection (400¡ÆF) for 20 to 25 minutes, or until hot and bubbly.
