Cheese Straw
 
120 gms. plain flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. red chilli powder
a pinch of mustard powder
50 gms. Cheese (grated)
1 egg yolk
50 gms. butter
1 tsp. water
1. Sieve together the flour, salt and red chilli powder.
2. Rub in the butter, untrl the mixture resembles bread crumbs.
3. Mix in the grated cheese, egg yolk and water and knead into a firm dough.
4. Roll out the dough, on a lightly floured surface onto a circle of 1/2 inch thickness.
5. Cut into stripes 1/4 inch wide and twist.
6. Pre heat the oven on 'convection' at 180¨¬C with the lightly greased metal try placed on the high rack.
7. Bake at 180¨¬C for 25 min.
